Event: A Common Origin – Tues 16th June, 2015

May 20, 2015 by Jim Stephenson

Something we’re really keen on at Miniclick is experimenting with the ways in which photography can exist outside of ‘the photography bubble’. With events and projects like The Heart Grows Fonder and Photographer Writer Illustrator, we’ve tried to encourage photography to play nicely alongside other creative disciplines. These sorts of collaborations have spawned some of the most exciting bodies of works, personal reactions and experiments in Miniclick’s last five years. With that in mind, and to coincide with the launch of […]

April 14, 2015 by Jim Stephenson

Earlier this year we picked up a copy of Annie Collinge’s “Five Inches of Limbo” – a photobook that combined beautiful and humourous photographs with a design to match. It became an early runner in Miniclick Towers for photobook of the year. Annie is a former Brighton student, so we we already aware of her great work, and we’re delighted to bring her back to Brighton so she can talk to us about her photography in more detail. +++ Tuesday 12th May. Doors […]

Talk: Milo Belgrove and Chris Nunn – Tues 24th Feb, 2015

January 16, 2015 by Jim Stephenson

Around this time last year we saw the protests in Maiden Square, Kiev in full swing, with photographers from all over the world descending to document the troubles. Chris Nunn and Milo Belgrove were two photographers who headed out as well, Chris to continue his work in the country, and Milo for the first time. They both chose to photograph a different side of a country in flux, focusing on the people and life continuing against a tumultuous backdrop. We’re very pleased […]

Day 16 – The Miniclick Photobook Advent Calendar, 2014

December 16, 2014 by Jim Stephenson

Ditto Press are consistently one of our favourite publishers, who combine fascinating content with beautiful design. As such, we generally look forward to any of their new releases but the newest one was one we were especially excited about. ‘Skinhead: An Archive’ is behind door number 16 on the Miniclick Photobook Advent calendar… Of all the sub culture groups emerging from Britain in the last forty or fifty years, Skins are likely the most divisive, most controversial and most misunderstood and […]
