In May we are exploring murder. The use of photography as forensic evidence has effected how we see photography as a medium. We hope to explore this relationship further by looking at the work of Rob Ball and his project Scene of Crime. We also have photographer Jack Latham, creator of Sugar Paper Theories, in conversation with Gísli Guðjónsson. The two will explore Gísli’s influence on Jack’s work and his experiences in forensic psychology. +++ Wednesday 2nd May, 2018. Doors at 6pm, kicks […]

The Life and Time of Tim Hetherington”, a touching film recounting the life of Photographer and Humanitarian, Tim Hetherington. We worked closely with the Hetherington family in order to organise this event and have been asked by the Hetherington’s to pass on their gratitude for supporting the event and showing interest in their son’s life. On the opening weekend of Brighton Photo Fringe, 2013, we hosted the first ever Miniclick Response Exhibition at the Fringe HQ at Phoenix, Brighton with Lucy Bell. The idea was that people would be able to submit images in advance, or bring them along on the day and we would project them on to the big screen. As we were scrolling through them, we could send selected images to a printer, to be printed off and added to the pinup […]

Over the course of the Brighton Photo Fringe, 2012, we put on a series of 8 workshops. 6 in association with Create Studios, featuring Murray Ballard, Emma Critchley, Jean-Luc Brouard, Luca Sage, Ewen Spencer and Laura Pannack & Rhiannon Adam and 2 special full day workshops featuring Laura Pannack and Luca Sage. This was something new for us – we’re far more used to putting on talks and panel discussions. That said, we really enjoyed it and it was great […]
Our fourth talk featured Sue Steward in conversation with Simon Roberts about his work, how he got into photography and about his projects, including Motherland, We English, Let This be a Sign and his work during the Olympics. It proved to be a fascinating evening full of some great insights into how Simon works, the rich narratives in his images and the photography industry in general. Ed Moore was on hand to take some photos of the evening. He’s kindly […]
