November 2, 2015 by Jim Stephenson

I / LAND is a new collaboration between Miniclick and Portrait Salon to create all-day events in London and Tokyo to coincide with Portrait Salon’s fifth anniversary. The I / LAND project is a participatory, submissions-based event that culminates in a community day of book making, combining the submissions from Portrait Salon 2015 with a series of submitted seascapes, texts and illustrations; engaging with the idea of the UK and Japan as island nations. I / LAND forms part of […]

Discussion: Paraphotography – Thurs 8th Oct, 2015

September 7, 2015 by Jim Stephenson

In October we’re working with Curtis James to curate a series of events that explore the link between photography and film and the paranormal. Join us as Miniclick contacts The Spirit Side… Our first event will be a fascinating panel discussion looking into the history of photographing the paranormal (‘paraphotography’), these image’s effects on us and why we are so keen to believe them. We’ve three of the best placed people in the world to discuss this in Brad Feuerhelm, Prof. […]

July 29, 2015 by Jim Stephenson

A new project for Miniclick, Don’t Cut Me Out is a response to the effects of government cuts in arts and education. The project will combine video, print, and collage works alongside a series of talks intended to inspire creativity within the community – to give people a voice. The first incarnation of DCMO will be at Copeland Book Market 2015. We’ll be making short videos with volunteers which will later be made into flip books to form part of a […]

Event: A Common Origin – Tues 16th June, 2015

May 20, 2015 by Jim Stephenson

Something we’re really keen on at Miniclick is experimenting with the ways in which photography can exist outside of ‘the photography bubble’. With events and projects like The Heart Grows Fonder and Photographer Writer Illustrator, we’ve tried to encourage photography to play nicely alongside other creative disciplines. These sorts of collaborations have spawned some of the most exciting bodies of works, personal reactions and experiments in Miniclick’s last five years. With that in mind, and to coincide with the launch of […]

Talk: Annie Collinge – Tues 12th May

April 14, 2015 by Jim Stephenson

Earlier this year we picked up a copy of Annie Collinge’s “Five Inches of Limbo” – a photobook that combined beautiful and humourous photographs with a design to match. It became an early runner in Miniclick Towers for photobook of the year. Annie is a former Brighton student, so we we already aware of her great work, and we’re delighted to bring her back to Brighton so she can talk to us about her photography in more detail. +++ Tuesday 12th May. Doors […]
