17th Feb ’14 – Niall McDiarmid

January 28, 2014 by Jim Stephenson

Way back in May last year we took 10 photographers up to Liverpool to put on a series of short talks as part of LOOK/13’s opening weekend at The Bluecoat. One of them was Niall McDiarmid, someone we’d been keen to work with for a while. He smashed through the 10 minute time limit we’d given the speakers but we didn’t mind too much as we were having so much fun listening to him. Since then, he’s published a book […]

23rd Jan ’14 – ‘Zine Binding

January 9, 2014 by Jim Stephenson

Back in November we held the first of our Miniclick Paper Fairs with Design Brighton and Photobookshow. We had 35 photographers, illustrators, graphic designers and publishers take up space to show their work and sell their wares. Plus there were talks and panel discussions going on throughout the day. We also asked everyone to bring along their favourite piece of paper that we could photograph then print, collate, fold, cut and bind the images into a live ‘zine that was […]

6th Feb ’14 – Architecture in Photos

January 9, 2014 by Jim Stephenson

We’re heading back to the Anise Gallery in London for our second panel discussion with them, in what we hope will become a pretty long series. Back in October 2013 we curated a panel on contemporary British landscape photography to coincide with Marc Wilson’s beautiful exhibition of his Last Stand work. The gallery has a strong architectural leaning and in February, whilst Paul Raftery’s fantastic “Berlin Voids” exhibition is on, they’ve invited us back to put together a panel on […]

Everyone is a Curator – Follow Up

November 11, 2013 by Jim Stephenson

On the opening weekend of Brighton Photo Fringe, 2013, we hosted the first ever Miniclick Response Exhibition at the Fringe HQ at Phoenix, Brighton with Lucy Bell. The idea was that people would be able to submit images in advance, or bring them along on the day and we would project them on to the big screen. As we were scrolling through them, we could send selected images to a printer, to be printed off and added to the pinup […]
