Day 3 – The Miniclick Photobook Advent Calendar, 2014

December 3, 2014 by Jim Stephenson

Day 3 of our Grand Photobook Advent Calendar and Nicoletta Barbata takes us through one of her favourite book’s of the year… When I think about Photographs Rendered in Play-Doh I think of a great tiny book which well represents what photography is about and what we love about photography at Miniclick. Photography should arouse curiosity, should whet your appetite to know more. It can be communicate in hundreds of different ways. If it’s done with a sense of fun, then […]

Event: Photographs Rendered in Play Doh

October 22, 2014 by Jim Stephenson

Lats Saturday we had a great day at The Miniclick Business Concern to launch Eleanor MacNair’s ‘Photographs Rendered in Play Doh‘, with Eleanor, MacDonaldStrand and Photomonitor. People were invited along to recreate their favourite photograph in Play Doh and we had over 50 renderings made during the day (which were then all rolled up into one big blob at the end). Thanks to all those who came along – we’ll be making a ‘zine from all the submissions soon…

September 11, 2014 by Jim Stephenson

To launch the new book from Eleanor MacNair’s hugely popular “Photographs Rendered in Play-Doh” project, published by MacDonaldStrand Photomonitor (MSPM), we’re hosting a day of play-doh rendering activities at The Miniclick Business Concern. Visitors are invited to bring along a photograph they’d like to recreate in the Play-Doh we’ll supply, and Eleanor will be on hand to offer her advice and render a few of her own as well. All the renderings made on during the day will be photographed and […]

Everyone is a Curator – Follow Up

November 11, 2013 by Jim Stephenson

On the opening weekend of Brighton Photo Fringe, 2013, we hosted the first ever Miniclick Response Exhibition at the Fringe HQ at Phoenix, Brighton with Lucy Bell. The idea was that people would be able to submit images in advance, or bring them along on the day and we would project them on to the big screen. As we were scrolling through them, we could send selected images to a printer, to be printed off and added to the pinup […]
