For one long weekend this June, from Friday 17th to Sunday 19th, Miniclick are taking over the Eranda Studio at The Photographers’ Gallery, turning the space into a secondary school of photography. The faculty at The School of Miniclick will present their curriculum – a series of talks, workshops, fun and games from a wide range of guest teachers, including David Fathi, Lumine’s Lab, Amak Mahmoodian, Rhiannon Adams, Kevin Meredith and many more.
You can read all about it here.
Sunday is our Sport Day, led by our original 1980’s PE Teacher, Mr Kevin Meredith (complete with too-small-shorts and a whistle). Mr Meredith will be leading participants through a series of ‘athletic’ events with a medal ceremony at the end for the best performers. Join our 1980’s PE Teacher, photographer, avid sea swimmer and Miniclick regular, Kevin Meredith, as he takes us on a series of photographic ‘athletic’ events with a medal ceremony for the best performers at the end.
Please note, we use the words ‘athletic’ and ‘workout’ in the loosest possible sense…
The first event is designed to get your blood pumping in an ‘intense’ workout session led by Mr Meredith, who will ask you to stop at intervals to take a selfie. Whoever has the best before, during and after selfies will win maximum points. Round Two involves taking portraits of our models, whilst racing on an exercise bikes and, finally, Round Three is our Instant Sumo competition, where competitors will have one pack of instant film and a camera to capture the faces of their opponent as they do the same. Hide your face while trying to capture your opponent’s as they move around you looking for a full face shot.
This is very much an spectator events, so all are welcome, although we can only accept 10 competitors. Please email jim@miniclick.co.uk if you’d like to be involved.
