Philip Wielding

Philip is a photographer and course leader for the BA (Hons) Photography degree at Leeds Arts University. Philip’s photographic work fits into a narrative that incorporates notions of labour, creativity, boredom, resistance and productivity, to critique our relationship with daily working lives and everyday experience. The work often explores our relationship with things, and the performance that surrounds our interaction with them. He has exhibited and spoken about photography internationally, including a recent group exhibition in Berlin and as part of Format International Photography Festival. He has delivered papers at conferences in Cyprus and the UK, on photography, the networked image and the creativity of office pranks.
