leeds: miniclick portfolio chats, 25th jan 23

For our first event of 2023 we’d like to invite you to come and bring your work to talk about it in a supportive and informal environment. Bring your drinks upstairs, grab a chair and share. We will be focusing on any work you may want to share and discussing how you might develop this over the next year. Friendly discussions and generating ideas is encouraged as is just having a few drinks and chatting with fellow photographers.

Bryony Good

Growing up surrounded by the desolate beauty of the Yorkshire landscape I developed my work to explore the romanticised nostalgia and uncanny brutality landscapes can evoke.

My photography explores photographic language and process, often referencing nostalgia towards photographic practice itself. Experimental processes and innovative mixed media are integral to my work often produce eerie visual effects.

Now working within arts education as co-founder of Capturing the Chimera running photography and creative workshops for all ages. Also a collaborative member of Miniclick Photography Talks, I aim to widen participation within the arts whilst further exploring my photographic practice.

Roz Doherty

Roz Doherty is a photographer, whose work focuses on the intersection of myth, fiction, and truth.

Having studied part time at Bradford College, she graduated with a BA (Hons) Photography in 2019 and has recently graduated with a MFA in Photography from the Belfast School of Art, University of Ulster.

As co-curator of Miniclick, Roz facilitates free talks, discussions, and participatory events, with the remit of being open and accessible to all with a focus on ideas and stories.
