“I am photographer based in London currently working on personal, self-led projects as well as working as a teaching assistant at Middlesex University. I gained an MA in photography in 2017 and have been taking on commissions as a freelance photographer for clients such as FT Weekend magazine, Airbnb magazine and The Guardian Weekend.

My work centres on current political and social phenomena’s and how this affects the psyche of those involved. I aim to approach my subject indirectly, focusing on our immediate surroundings in an effort to communicate how the apparently ordinary can be symptoms of a larger social construct.

Since finishing my BA degree in 2013 I have had exhibitions in the UK and overseas, showing my final year student project, Florida Club as well as Good Times for Free; a three-year project focusing on British seasonal workers in Mediterranean holiday resorts and my most recent body of work, A Glimmer of Accountability, a two year project made in response to recent political turmoil. I have also won multiple photography awards, the most recent being Paris Photo Carte Blanche Student Award.”

William will be taking about his ‘Good Times for Free’ work: “Photographed in party resorts across the Mediterranean between 2013 and 2016, this work is inspired by my own experience having both visited and worked in these resorts in 2010 and 2011.”
