In excitement for the summer, for the month of June, we will be joined by Eva Louisa Jonas, who is a visual artist and facilitator. Jonas will be talking about her personal work and the interaction between different areas of her practice; how they influence and feed into each other. As it is becoming a new tradition for Bristol Miniclick, Jonas will have her published book and some material from her creative process on display for the audience to check out at the end of her talk!

Eva Louisa Jonas (b.1998) is a visual artist, facilitator, and co-founder of the practice-based research collective, UnderExposed. She is currently based in South London, U.K. She uses photography to explore the processes by which people situate themselves within landscapes, focusing on its expression in trace, gesture, and surfaces. Shows include (Re)Structure x Newhaven as part of Brighton Photo Fringe October 2022, To Skim a Stone at Serchia Gallery, Bristol, July 2021, and Single Surface at Offshoot Gallery, London, June 2021.
In January 2022 she was awarded an A-N Artist Bursary to develop a body of work exploring the proliferation of imagery relating to the natural, rural and remote and activities that take place there. Eva’s first book Let’s Sketch the Lay of the Land was published in October 2020 with a Parisian publisher, September books.
Jonas’ work ‘The Natural, Rural & Remote’ will be shown at Serchia Gallery from July 22nd to September 1st.
